March 23, 2020 - Punch Needle Embrodery

Punch needle embroidery is often referred to as painting with thread. The embroidery punch needle uses floss to penetrate the fabric on one side and leaves a loop on the other. This workshop will focus on the technique to get you started punching with floss.

I will have the pattern drawn on weavers cloth and stretched in a frame, ready to punch.  Some floss will be provided to get you started.  The punch needle is $30(taxes In) and comes with three sizes of needles for you to use. We will be using the needle for 3 ply floss.

If you already have a 3 ply punch needle and want to learn how to use it bring it along.

The cost of the workshop is $20 for the pattern on weavers and in a frame along with some floss, if you will need the punch needle then it will be $50. Please let me know if you will need a punch needle so I can insure I have enough in stock.

Payment in advance is greatly appreciated.

The work shop will be held at Gwen’s Handmade Creations - 1282 Salmon River Rd. ( The Studio)

Space is limited to 6 people.
