Knit to Felt

Knitting to felt is a fun and fast way to make some unique gifts.  We have been busy making Handbags, Hats and Mitts.  I like to use Briggs and Little Country Roving’s for Handbags and Galway Worsted or Chunky as well as Noro  Kureyon for Hats and Mitts.

Working with felt and wool fabric

Posted on: January 16, 2014

It's been a busy start to 2014 and I have been working on new projects for the shop.  Felt and Wool Applique is a great way to use odds and ends of wool fabric and felt.  I have been making place mats and tea cosies.  Kits will soon be available on my online store as well as some of the knitting yarns and accessories that I carry.

Wingspan Summer Shawl

Posted on: July 8, 2013

Wonderful summer shawl made out of 1 ball of Sock/Fingering Angora Blend yarn. It was a 550 metre ball and I had plenty left over to make a small pair of socks.

You can find the pattern for free on the internet and you tube has lots of people demostrating how the short row knitting is done.

My mom knitted this one for me and she is just getting back into knitting and it was not something for the new knitter to start with, but she did it.  Yahh for Mom.
