Modified Leaf Lace Scarf - Knit with Uluru

images/pages/content_196.jpg

 Queensland Collections Uluru

This gorgeous fingering weight yarn is inspired by Uluru, a large sandstone rock formation located in central Australia. The surrounding area is abundant with waterholes, springs, caves, and petroglyphs, so it's no wonder you'll find a palette rich with desert colorways, from sage greens to dawn pinks and sunset reds! Metallic thread is spun throughout this cotton-acrylic blend for just the right amount of subtle sheen. At 410 yards this yarn would make the perfect choice for summery tank-tops and lightweight shawls!

I have been knitting this beautiful shawl/summer scarf out of this gorgeous yarn. This is a modified leaf patttern that I added seed beads to and it is turning out nice. Very light for summer.

The pattern is $4.00 and I will correct the shipping on it because I will email you the pattern in a word document.  The pattern is free with the purchase of one ball of yarn and will be shipped (printed) with the yarn order.

Green Forest Gang by Fiona Alice

images/pages/content_194.jpg

Great Patterns by BeaverBank Nova Scotia designer, Fiona Alice.  I think these patterns are wonderful. They are well written and I have had customers tell me how easy they are to follow. You can make them into mittens very easily if you do not want a finger less glove.

I carry all of her patterns in my shop and have a variety of yarns to knit them in.  You can use Casacade 220 or Glaway 100% wool or you can go with a more washer machine friendly yarn such as Pacific.

I'm knitting my 3rd pair ( 2 foxes and 1 bear) for gifts.  Check out her blog and support a very talented lady.
